A young Haitian writes a collection of 4-level Creole books to facilitate foreigners and Haitians born in other countries to learn the Creole language.

Lot Kenson Jn Dimanche, a young Haitian living in the Dominican Republic, is the author of a 4-level Creole book collection. According to what he explained and Juno7, the idea of this book is to facilitate Haitians born in other countries to learn the language and allow foreigners to speak the Creole language as well. As part of an interview he gave to the editor of the newspaper, he gave all the details about this book.

In his explanation, Lot Kenson Jn Dimanche said it was his project with a friend named Guercin Engy Wolff. The young author works on 95% of this book.

“The inspiration comes first from a patriotic belief which is: “one day Haiti will change, that day many foreigners will want to speak our language, either to visit or to work” What strengthens the inspiration is when I came to emigrate to the Dominican Republic, I encountered many Haitians who were born in the Dominican Republic but are Dominican citizens in the Haitian body, because culturally these children do not know anything about Haiti, I think the language is the biggest barrier that causes that”these are what Mr. Kenson advanced to explain where the project came from.

In the details he provided,

“The collection is divided into 4 levels, each level has 8 chapters, each chapter is divided by different lessons such as Vocabulary, Grammar, Oral Comprehension, exercises, reading, cultural, historical, gastronomic information. Each level also comes with exercise books, that is, in the back of the book there is a part of the book where every time a person finishes a chapter he is practicing what he learned in the chapter with some exercises.”

In order to make it easier for people to speak and understand the language better, Lot Kenson Jn Dimanche said

“he prepares a course for each book, where when the person has the book in his hand, he can follow the course on the online learning platform. I already have the first level course available on amazon.”

The first level came out in 2023, the second level came out last month. The next level is in preparation where they are corrected.

“These books are only available on Amazon, because Amazon takes charge of printing them every time someone orders them”that is what the young Haitian author underlines.

Lot Kenson Jn Dimanche said so far the feedback is positive. “except that I feel that many people have not recognized enough the work I am doing for the Creole language. Since 2019. I took 4 years to prepare these books”is what he added as he finished saying: “Let’s give the Creole language a bust”. Which is his slogan.
